Bowling Park Primary School is a Community

Primary School.  It is a two form entry school,

the maximum number admitted in any one year

group is 60, making a total of 420 pupils. 

The nursery admits children on a part-time basis, 26 children at each

session. (morning and afternoon)  There is one intake a year, in

September.

Aims of the school

à To provide a firm foundation for a lifetime of learning.

à  To provide a broad curriculum where individual needs are met and children are encouraged to be active, independent learners.

à To enable children to develop their full potential and respect themselves, others, their belongings, their own work and other peoples work and show respect for the environment.

à To involve parents in and inform parents about their child’s education.

à To encourage the school and local community to work and grow together.

à To develop good relationships with the community and earn the respect of the community for the school.

 

Parent—Teacher meetings

These take place twice a year, during the Autumn term and in the Summer term.  A 5/10 minute interview is allocated for the parent/guardian of each child.  In the Summer term there is an opportunity to discuss the child’s report and to look at work.
